4. To install, place new air lter (13)
into the air lter cover (14) (see
arrow on air lter).
5. Close the air lter cover and fas-
ten screw again.
Change / adjust spark plug
A worn spark plug or a spark gap
that is too large will result in a re-
duction of engine performance.
1.
Disconnect the spark plug con-
nector (11) from the spark plug by
simultaneously pulling and turn-
ing.
2. Unscrew spark plug counter
clockwise with spark plug socket.
3. Check the spark gap using a
feeler gauge (available from
specialist shops). The spark gap
must be at least 0.76 mm.
4. If necessary, adjust the gap by
carefully bending the ground
electrode on the spark plug.
5. Clean the spark plug with a wire
brush.
6. Insert the cleaned and adjusted
spark plug or replace a damaged
spark plug with a new one (rec-
ommended torque 20 Nm, de-
termined with a torque wrench)
(see “replacement parts“).
Changing the Engine Oil
For oil change, tilt equipment back-
ward with handlebar. Do not place
equipment on side to prevent operat-
ing liquids from leaking.
Change the engine oil for the
rst time after around 5 operat-
ing hours then every 50 operat-
ing hours or annually.
Change the engine oil when the
engine is warm.
Dispose of the used oil in an
ecofriendly manner (see “dispos-
al / environmental protection“).
1. Open oil drainage screw (internal square
socket) at the base of the equipment.
2. Drain the motor oil into a suitable con-
tainer.
3. Wipe up spilled motor oil and refasten oil
drainage screw.
4. Place equipment upright and rell motor
oil (see „Initial Operation“).
Adjusting the Bowden Cable
If the Bowden cable becomes misplaced
for the drive and has too much play, it can
be adjusted.
1. Loosen the small lock nut (32a).
2. - Turn the adjusting nut (32b)
anticlockwise:
The Bowden cable shortens.
- Turn the adjusting nut (32b)
clockwise:
The Bowden cable lengthens.
