Prior to fi rst use
ATTENTION!
❐ Keep children and animals away from the packaging. Risk of suffocation and other dangers!
❐ Please note: Smoke or an odour may be emitted the fi rst time you use the device. We
therefore recommend that you fi rst heat the device WITHOUT any contents for a few min-
utes in order to remove production residue with heat. In the process, ensure that the room
is well ventilated, e.g. with windows that have been opened wide!
❐ Some production residue may be stuck to the device. To avoid health risks, clean it thoroughly
before fi rst use.
❐ When cleaning, do not use any scouring or abrasive cleaners. They could damage the device.
1. Remove the device from the packaging and remove all wrappers and stickers. Check the
device for transport damages. If the device is damaged, do not use it (!), instead contact
customer service.
2. Clean the device's baking surfaces with a soft, damp cloth/sponge and, if applicable, a small
amount of detergent. Dry the baking surfaces with a soft dish towel.
3. Place the device on a dry, heat-resistant and level surface at a suffi cient distance to other
objects or the wall.
4. Insert the mains plug in a 220 – 240 V earthed socket with protective earth contacts which
has been installed in compliance with regulations. Make sure that the cord is not caught
between the baking surfaces! The device is now heating up. Let it heat up for a few min-
utes to remove any production residue.
5. Turn the device off by pulling the mains plug out of the socket.
6. Allow the device to cool off and then clean it again.
