Safety instructions
Proper use
❐ This device is intended for preparing baked goods.
❐ The device is intended for domestic, not commercial use.
❐ This device may be used by children ages 8 and over as well as persons with impaired physical,
sensory or mental capacities or those lacking experience and/or knowledge if they are supervised
or have been instructed in how to safely use the device and have understood the risks associated
with operating the device. Children may not play with the device. Children may not perform clean-
ing and user maintenance of the device unless they are 8 years of age or older and are supervised.
❐ Keep children under 8 years of age and animals away from the device and the connection line.
❐ Only use the device as described in these instructions. Any other use is deemed improper.
❐ The device is not intended to be operated with an external timer or a separate telecontrol
system.
Risks of injury
❐ Keep children and animals away from the device and packaging.
❐ Do not use the device if it is damaged.
❐ Only use and store the device out of the reach of children and animals. The mains cord may
also not be accessible for children. They could pull the device down with it.
❐ Attention! Hot surfaces! Only hold the device by the handle during operation and shortly
after turning it off. Only move the device once it has cooled off.
❐ Attention! Scalding hazard! Hot steam may be emitted from the device during operation.
Be careful when opening the lid. Do not transport the device while it is in use. There is a
scalding risk attributed to leaking batter or steam.
For your health
❐ Clean the device before fi rst use. There may be some production residues stuck to it. Ob-
serve the cleaning notes in the chapter “Prior to fi rst use” in the process.
❐ Do not use any spoiled food. Never store the food longer than indicated by the best before date.
❐ Clean the device after every use to prevent the formation of germs (see chapter “Cleaning
and storage”).
Set-up and connection
❐ Do not use the device when water or other liquids are nearby in order to avoid the risk of
electrical shock.
❐ Only use the device in enclosed areas.
❐ Always place the device on a dry, level, fi rm, and heat resistant surface and at an adequate
distance to fl ammable objects. If necessary, place a heat-resistant base under the device.
❐ Do not place the device directly under kitchen cupboards or a kitchen shelf. Make sure there
is enough space around the device (approximately 10 cm) to prevent heat accumulation.
❐ Maintain adequate distance to heat sources such as stoves or ovens to prevent damage to
the device.
