■ Children younger than 8 years old and animals must be kept
away from the device and the connection cable.
CAUTION: hot surfaces! The device becomes very
hot during use. Make sure not to touch any heated parts
while or after using the device. Only touch the control dial,
the
button and the touchscreen while the device is in
operation, or directly after switching it off.
■ Never submerge the main unit and connection cable in water or
other liquids, and make sure that these do not fall into water or
become wet. Risk of electric shock from water.
■ Do not pour any liquids (such as oil or water) directly into the
device or into the drawer or place a vessel fi lled with liquid into
the device. It only works with hot air.
■ The device must always be disconnected from the mains
if supervision is not available and before fi lling/emptying or
cleaning it.
■ The device is not intended to be operated with an external timer
or a separate telecontrol system.
■ In the interests of your own safety, check the device and the con-
necting cable for damage before each use. Only use the device
if it is functional.
■ Do not make any changes to the device. Do not replace the
connection cable by itself. If the device or the connection cable
is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, customer
service or a specialist workshop in order to prevent hazards.
■ Make absolutely sure to observe the cleaning instructions in the
chapter "Cleaning, Care and Storage".
DANGER – shock hazard
■ Only use and store in closed areas. Do not use in areas with high humidity.
■ If the main unit should fall into water, immediately disconnect the power supply. Do
not try to pull the device out of the water while it is connected to the mains! Have the
device checked by a specialist workshop before restarting.
■ Never touch the device or connection cable with wet hands if these components are
connected to the mains.
■ Make sure that escaping steam is not aimed directly at electrical devices and
equipment that contains electrical components.
