You need to improve your

texturing procedure.

Proceed according to the instructions in the sections ‘Ope-

ration / Texturing Milk’ and ‘Tips for Best Results / Tips

for Texturing Milk’. Perhaps, you must try little variations

of the procedure.

The milk jug overflows

with large bubbles that

collapse almost

immediately.

You need to improve your

texturing procedure.

Proceed according to the instructions in the sections ‘Ope-

ration / Texturing Milk’ and ‘Tips for Best Results / Tips

for Texturing Milk’. Try to get small bubbles. Try little

variations of the procedure.

The fat content of the milk

is too low.

Perhaps you used low-fat milk. Try milk with at least 2%

fat (e.g. whole milk).

The milk has a stale taste. The milk is not fresh and/

or not cold enough.

Use refrigerated and really fresh milk for texturing (see:

‘Operation / Texturing Milk’).

The steam wand is not

clean.

Remove the black sleeve and clean the sleeve and steam

wand thoroughly (see: ‘Care and Cleaning / Cleaning the

Steam Wand’).

The water in the water

tank is stale.

At the least, empty the water tank and fill the water tank

with cold fresh water every day (see: ‘Operation / Filling

the Water Tank’). Only use fresh tap water. Let some

water run out, before filling the water tank.

CARE AND CLEANING

WARNING – Always ensure that the appliance and all its parts and acces-

sories are out of reach of young children. The lower part of the group head, as

well as the portafilter, filter basket, and steam wand will get very hot during ope-

ration and shortly thereafter and steam and hot water may escape. Handle with

care to avoid scalds. Always switch OFF the appliance (press the power button),

then unplug the appliance, and leave the appliance cool down before cleaning

the appliance. Additionally, empty the drip tray and the water tank before moving

the appliance. Adhere to the following instructions for cleaning the appliance and

observe all given safety hints. Do not attempt to move the appliance or disassem-

ble any parts during operation. Do not clean the appliance or power cord in an

automatic dishwasher! Do not immerse the housing, power plug, or power cord

in water or any other liquid, to avoid hazards due to electric shock and damage.

Do not spill or drip any liquids on the housing and power cord to avoid risk of

overheating, fire, and electric shock.
