minate orange and indicate “PREHEATING”.The cooker will start heating imme-
diately.
However, you can select the temperature level for sautéing.
5. If required, turn the TEMP/Pressure dial to select one of three temperature levels:
“LO” (low), “MEd” (medium), or “HI” (high).
As soon as the cooker has reached the set temperature, “PREHEATING” will dis-
appear and the timer starts counting up.
6. Place the food into the cooking pot, being aware that the food could splash vigo-
rously. Cook your food until the desired consistency is reached.
The SAUTÉ function will run up to a maximum of 45 minutes.
7. At any time during the cooking process you may:
- change the temperature level via the TEMP/Pressure dial,
- pause the cooking cycle by pressing the STOP/CANCEL button,
- cancel the cycle by pressing the STOP/CANCEL button twice.
8. At the end of the sauté cycle (45 minutes at the maximum), the cooker alert will
sound, the STOP/CANCEL button backlight will go out and the LCD screen will
illuminate blue.
WARNING: After operation, the appliance and all parts of it (especially the hea-
ting compartment) will be hot. Only touch the appliance by the handles. Ensure to
protect your hands and arms with oven gloves to avoid scalds, when
taking out the cooking pot.
Do not place the cooking pot on heat-sensitive or
moisture-sensitive surfaces to avoid damage.
When adding fresh food and liquid to the hot cooking pot, be aware of splashes.
Do not hold your hands, arms, face, or any delicate object over or near the cooking
pot to avoid injuries and damage.
9. If you wish to take out your food, protect your hands with oven gloves and take
out the cooking pot from the heating compartment. Ensure to place the cooking
pot only on a surface resistant to heat, fat, and moisture and where the cooking
pot will not tilt, wobble, or fall.
10. Perhaps, you wish to continue cooking. For this, add the necessary amount of
liquid and further ingredients according to your recipe. Doing so, be aware that
liquids and fresh food could splash, when touching the hot cooking pot. Start the
new cooking cycle as described above.
