Note:
After 5 minutes of inactivity, standby mode will be activated. The control panel
will get dark.
SLOW COOKING
The SLOW COOK setting is designed for long cooking
times at low temperatures. It is ideal for breaking down
connective tissue of tough cuts of meat and developing
deep flavours. With this function, you do not select the
pressure for cooking but the temperature.
WARNING: Ensure to fill at least 1 litre of
water and/or fresh food into the cooking pot
before starting the SLOW COOK function. Do
not operate this function with the cooking pot empty, to avoid overhea-
ting and
fire. During operation, even the exterior of the appliance will get hot, and
steam will come out of the valves and the safety locking pin in the lid. Do not hold
your hands, arms and face over the appliance during operation.
1. Prepare the Multicook for operation (see: ‘Preparing the Cooker for Operation’).
2. Turn the START/Select dial to move the
indicator on the LCD screen to the SLOW
COOK function. Press the START/Select
dial to confirm. The SLOW COOK
screen page is shown.
3. Turn the START/Select dial again to
move the indicator on the right side of
the LCD screen to the desired item. See:
‘Pre-Defined Settings Overview’. For each item, the pre-defined settings are
shown: temperature level (HI or LO) and cooking time (HRS / MIN).
4. If required, turn the TEMP/Pressure dial to select the temperature level.
5. If required, turn the TIME dial to select the cooking time. Time can be adjusted
between 2:00 and 12:00 hours in steps of 1 minute.
6. ‘KEEP WARM’ indicates that the KEEP WARM function will automatically switch
on after the SLOW COOK cycle. Press the KEEP WARM button on the control
panel to select or deselect the function.
7. Ensure that the lid is closed but not locked! If required, turn the lid knob counter-
clockwise to the unlock position.
