If proceeding to use as the brushcutter, the 3T brushcutter blade (28)
needs to be assembled.
Refer to the “Fitting the Brushcutter Blade instructions” (on page 20).
If proceeding to use the line trimmer, the clip-on line trimmer guard
attachment (33) and spool and line assembly (35) requires assembly.
Refer to the “Fitting the Clip-on Guard Attachment to the Line Trimmer”
on pages 23/24 and “Fitting the Spool and Line assembly on the Line
Trimmer on pages 24/25 for these instructions.
Fitting & Adjusting the Double Strap Shoulder Harness
WARNING. The Double strap shoulder harness (31) must be tted
before use of the product (Fig V).
This includes both combinations of
the brushcutter or the line trimmer.
1. Place the shoulder straps over each shoulder so that the 2 padded
shoulder straps are located on your front side (Fig. W), with the square
black plastic support where the straps interweave, located on your
back (Fig. X)
Adjusting the J handle
The J handle (12) can be adjusted up and down the main upper shaft between
the foam tubes. The handle can also be rotated around the main shaft to suit
various operating conditions and comfort.
1. Loosen the small screw and nut on the J handle clamp using the supplied
5mm allen key (37) and 10mm spanner (44) (Fig S). Do not loosen the screw
and nut passing through the J handle (12).
2. Slide / rotate the J handle (12) and clamp (43)
around or up or down the upper shaft. When the
desired position is achieved, tighten the smaller
screw and nut rmly to lock the clamp into
position.
3. Check the handle and clamp is rmly clamped
in position.
Fitting the Brushcutter /
Line Trimmer Guard
Before using either the Brushcutter or Line
Trimmer, the Brushcutter Guard needs to be
assembled.
1. Lay the unit down so that the fuel tank bracket
(39) is resting on a secure surface, or on the
ground.
2. Place the brushcutter guard (17) on the
underside of the lower shaft (15) so that the
2 holes on the guard line up with the 2 screw
holes on the brushcutter bracket (Fig T).
3. Once the 2 screw holes are aligned, insert the
2 screws; one on each side of the guard clamp,
and using the supplied 5mm allen key (37)
tighten in a clockwise direction until secure
(Fig. U).
