I. PROBLEM SOLVING
THE IGNITION IS NOT FUNCTIONING CORRECTLY
The batteries may be dead. Replace them.
If the ignition is still not working, remove the batteries again and replace the ignition as
follows:
1. Open the protective grill.
2. Remove the burner.
3. The ignition is locked with a bayonet connector. Hold it, push it
in, turn it a little and then remove it (see diag. J).
4. Check the ignition. The wire may be broken or distorted. If the
distortion is limited you can try to bend it back into shape with
the aid of an object with a sharp tip. In all other cases the
ignition must be replaced. A new ignition is available from your
supplier or the customer service department.
Only use an original ignition!
5. Put the ignition and then the burner back in place and close the grill.
6. Put the batteries back and close the battery compartment.
TROUBLESHOOTING:
PROBLEM
SOLUTION
The heater switches off unintentionally
and the safety system is activated.
Ventilate the room and ensure that the
temperature drops. NEVER LIGHT THE
HEATER AGAIN IMMEDIATELY! Wait for at
least thirty minutes until you do that.
The heater does not switch on:
1. The fuel tank is empty.
2. There is water in the fuel.
3. The ignition button does not work.
1. Fill the fuel tank with the correct fuel.
2. Allow the tank to empty. Ask you
supplier to replace the wick. Then fill
the tank with the correct fuel.
3. Replace the batteries. Replace the
ignition.
The heater spreads smoke or an
unpleasant smell:
1. The flame is too high.
2. A strong air flow enters the heater.
3. The burner is not horizontal.
4. There is soot or tar on the wick.
5. The fuel is contaminated.
1. Lower the wick so that the flame is
less high (only PH2750).
2. Put the heater in a place that is not
subject to drafts.
3. Move the burner back and forth with
the spring until it is in the correct
position in relation to the wick.
4. Clean the wick.
5. Empty the fuel tank. Ask your
supplier to replace the wick. Now fill
the tank with the correct fuel.
The flame flickers or goes out:
1. There is water in the fuel.
2. There is soot or tar on the wick.
1. Empty the fuel tank and clean it. Ask
your supplier to replace the wick.
Then fill the tank with the correct fuel.
2. CONTACT YOUR SUPPLIER IF THE
PROBLEM PERSISTS
The wick burns up too quickly:
The fuel is mixed with unapproved,
volatile or dangerous fuel.
1. Empty the fuel tank and clean it. Ask
your supplier to replace the wick.
Then fill the tank with the correct fuel.
