Check the anti-shock system in the following manner:
1. Adjust the wick to the highest position with the aid of the appropriate knob (7 in diagram
A). NB: This is not possible if the tank is not in its correct position. As this heater was
designed for temporary use, it will not function if the tank is missing.
2. Shake the heater back and forth. If everything is in order you will hear a click as a catch
unlocks, thereby releasing the wick and allowing it to fall down. Check that the wick has
dropped completely by attempting to turn the knob (7 in diagram A) anticlockwise. If this
fails, this means that the anti-shock system works effectively. If it does work, the system
is defective and you must not use your heater. Do not attempt to repair the device.
Approach your supplier or service station.
DO NOT USE YOUR PETROLEUM HEATER:
- in small, closed rooms such as caravans, cabins or boats
- without the presence of someone who is responsible for its operation
- with objects on top of the heater. E.g. to heating something up
- at a location that is subject to drafts or air flows
- continuously
IMPORTANT!
It is strictly forbidden to execute work on the safety system or to alter it. If you contravene
this regulation, the potential consequences (non or incorrect functioning of the safety
system and possibly subsequent damage) are at your expense.
For safety reason, always maintain a distance of at least one metre between the heater
and any other object, such as walls, furniture, curtains, etc.
Only use the heater in a well ventilated room where no other flammable gasses are
present.
Every room where this heater is used must have an opening for air supply and an
opening for air extraction each a minimum of 50 cm².
Do not use the heater of 2750W in a room that is smaller than 44 m³ (± 18 m²).
NEVER USE YOUR HEATER IN A ROOM UNDER GROUND LEVEL, SUCH
AS BASEMENTS, CELLARS, ETC.
(there is insufficient air circulation in these rooms)
STORING THE HEATER OUTSIDE THE HEATING SEASON
If you follow the instructions below you will be able to use your heater in the next season
without problems.
1. Clean the fuel tank by pouring a little fuel into it and shaking it. Do not use water as this
may cause the tank to rust.
2. Completely empty the tank and check that no fuel has remained.
3. Place the tank in the heater, then ignite it and wait for it to go out without intervention (this
takes approximately 1 hour.) This must be done outdoors.
4. Remove the fuel tank and open it, so that it can dry.
5. Remove the batteries and store in a dry place.
6. Remove the burner after you have opened the grill.
7. Clean the burner and the metal parts around the wick.
8. Put the burner back into the heater and adjust the wick to the lowest position.
9. Put the heater into the original packaging in the box, including the instructions for use.
10. Store the heater in a dry and well ventilated place.
