Fitting the ceramic hob
A hob should preferably not be positioned
immediately above a refrigerator or freezer
built-in below the worktop. If the hob has to be
fitted above a refrigerator or freezer, ensure
that the hob is well insulated.
Avoid direct contact with the bottom side of
the hot plate. Put a wooden plate of at least
5 mm thickness at 25 mm from the bottom side
of the hot plate to prevent discolouring/
deformation of the underlying panels/objects.
Please note:
Do not fit a hob next to a cupboard or wall
made of flammable material above the
worktop. (If there is no alternative then keep
to a minimum distance of 40 mm between the
outer edge of the hob and this wall. Keep a
distance of at least 65 cm between the hob
and any extractor hood to be fitted.)
Mark out the cut out (560 x 490 mm) on the
worktop (see fig. 5).
Stick the sealing strip supplied (A) onto the
underside of the hob (see fig. 6).
Place the hob in the cut out and secure the
fixing brackets (see fig. 7).
After fitting the hob check that the
appliance operates correctly.

Installation
General
When the appliance does not have a
connecting cable and plug, then it may be
connected only by an approved installer. After
installation the wall socket and plug must be
accessible at all times.
Please note:
The power rating and required mains voltage
are shown on the rating plate at the back of
the oven. Connection should take place
according to national and local regulations.
If the specified power is more than 3 kW, a
socket suitable for current greater than 13 A
must be used.
Electrical connection
The appliance should always be earthed. Use
good quality cable for connecting e.g. H05RRF,
1,5 or 2,5 mm
2
, with 3 or 5 cores, depending on
the regulations.
If you want to make a fixed connection,
ensure that a multi-pole switch with a
distance between contacts of 3 mm is
installed in the supply cable.
Wiring diagrams
There is a label showing the wiring diagrams
on the underside of the appliance.
Supply terminals
You can make the cross connections needed
using the jumpers on the terminal block. Do
not forget to secure the cable with the cable
clamp.
