Safety InStructIonS 2
What to do In caSe of fIre
In case of re, keep calm.
Evacuate passengers and keep them away
from the vehicle. Put the safety of people
rst.
Close the main valve of the gas cylinders
and remove them, if possible. Keep the
gas cylinder compartment keys in a place
which can be easily accessed in an emer-
gency.
Raise the alarm and call the Fire Brigade.
Detach the outside socket from the 220 V
mains and disconnect the auxiliary bat-
tery using the battery master switch.
Have any vehicles parked near your vehi-
cle move away.
Only attempt to extinguish small res
with the re extinguisher and only it is
safe for you to do so. Always make sure
you have an escape route.
Never underestimate the presence of
smoke, however small: smoke limits vis-
ibility, causes asphyxia and may contain
very toxic substances.
safety reGulations - Gas system
For legal reasons, when driving the vehicle,
as the gas system does not have a safety
valve with a movement gas lock, it should
be completely shut o.
Any repairs should only be carried out by specialist per-
sonnel. Go to an ELNAGH authorised dealer or a SEA
Service authorised workshop to have this operation
performed.
Have the seal of the pipes and the connectors checked
at least once a year. Go to an ELNAGH authorised deal-
er or a SEA Service authorised workshop to have this
operation performed. Periodically check the conditions
of the exible hoses connecting to the gas cylinder for
damage or porosity. In all cases, replace the hose by the
expiry date on the actual pipe with a pipe that com-
plies with the current safety regulations concerning
gas devices.
ELNAGH declines all liability in case of in-
correct use, tampering or changes to the
original gas system.
In the case of defects in the system (smell of gas, irreg-
ular consumption), close the main cylinder valve im-
mediately and ventilate the area well by opening the
doors, windows and skylights. Do not use matches or
lighters and do not smoke. Do not turn on any elec-
trical switches (service equipment, lights, ignition). The
fault should only be checked and repaired by author-
ised personnel.
Before turning on gas burners, make sure that the inte-
rior of the vehicle is well ventilated.
Do not use gas burners to heat the area.
When the motorhome or gas appliances are not in use,
close the main gas cylinder valve.
All gas appliances have a safety tap. The gas distribu-
tion taps are usually located in the kitchen units. Close
the corresponding tap when a single device is not in
use.
The safety devices preventing the escape of unburnt
gas close automatically. Check that they are working
at regular intervals: the safety device must close auto-
matically within one minute from when the ame of
the corresponding gas device goes out. A click will be
heard to indicate closing.
All gas devices (stoves, heater, boiler and
gas supply to the refrigerator) must be o
during refuelling: risk of explosion.
gaS cylInderS
The gas cylinders should be securely xed
to the brackets in the dedicated housing, in
a vertical position and they should not be
able to move. Never arrange or transport
gas cylinders in other parts of the vehicle:
risk of explosion.
Propane gas remains in a gaseous state to a tempera-
ture of -32 °C, whereas butane gas remains in gaseous
state only to 0 °C. The gas will no longer be pressurise
under this temperature.
Use propane gas lled cylinders only during
the winter to ensure correct operation of
the stove and of the other gas devices.
For safety reasons, the cylinder holder compartment is
insulated from the passenger compartment and is only
accessible from the outside. The compartment com-
municates with the outside by means of vents which
are designed to disperse any accumulated humidity.
Make sure that the ventilation system is not
obstructed because this could prevent the
dispersion of gas outwards.
