and the area around the collar using grease remover and wipe all parts dry or clean the areas with
compressed air.
The bottom protective lid should only be retracted to make special cuts by hand, for instance bag cuts
and compound cuts. Lift the bottom protective lid with the handle on the protective lid only. As soon as
the saw blade enters the material, the bottom protective lid needs to be released in order to permit the
further sawing work. The bottom protective lid should move automatically.
Ensure that the bottom protective lid covers the saw blade when you store the blade. If the still rotating,
unprotected saw blade comes into contact with a hard surface, the saw moves suddenly and cuts all
objects with which it comes into contact. Remember that it takes some time before the saw blade stops
once the switch has been let go.
NEVER place the material you are sawing over your leg and do not hold it in your hand when sawing.
The material must be placed on a solid surface in order to avoid injuries, the saw blade from getting
jammed or uncontrolled movements.
Always hold the tool on the isolated handles when you carry out work during which the saw could come
into contact with covered wires or the own power cable. In the event of contact with a live wire, the open
metal parts of the tool are also live, which means that the operator may suffer an electric shock.
EXCLUSIVELY use DUALSAW saw blades developed specifically for this tool. Other saw blades do not
suit the installation device precisely and may result in the user losing control of the saw.
Never use damaged flange or screws or such that do not fit precisely. The flange and screws were
designed in such a way that optimal services and safe operation of the saw are ensured.
Do NOT switch the saw on while you are carrying it. The bottom protective lid may open when coming
into contact with clothing. Accidental contact with the rotating saw blade may result in severe injuries.
Never attempt to use the saw with only one saw blade. This results in a recoil of the saw in the directi-
on of the user, which may cause severe injuries.
HOW TO AVOID A RECOIL
A recoil occurs when a saw blade is jammed, gets stuck or no longer moves smoothly. The recoil re-
sults in the saw suddenly jumping out of the workpiece in the direction of the user.
If the saw blade is jammed or gets stuck in the cut, the saw blade can no longer
rotate and the saw is hurled back into the direction of the user by the motor movement. Recoils occur
when the tool is wrongly used, the operating instructions are ignored or inappropriate conditions exist
at the workstation. Recoils can be avoided by taking the below precautions:
Hold the saw firmly with both hands and ensure that you are prepared for recoils by standing firmly and
positioning your arms accordingly. Suitable precautions can allow the user to absorb recoils.
When processing large plates, it must be ensured that they are placed firmly in several locations to
avoid the risk of the saw blade jamming and of recoils. Large plates may sag in the middle due to their
weight. On both sides of the plate, along the cut line and at the edge of the plate, racks need to be
placed to prevent any sagging.
Do not use blunt or damaged saw blades. Blunt or wrongly set saw blades result in a narrow cut groove
and increased friction. This may cause the saw blade to jam, resulting in recoils.
Proceed with particular caution when making a bag cut in existing walls or covered areas. The protru-
ding saw blade may saw objects which may cause a recoil.
Depending on use, the switch may need to be replaced during the life cycle of the saw. If the switch
fails in the OFF position, it may not be possible to start the saw any longer. If it no longer works while
the saw runs, the saw can no longer be switched off using the button. Immediately disconnect the
power cable of the saw from the mains adapter in such cases and do not use the saw again until it has
been repaired. Contact customer services.
Prepare for a recoil when the saw blade starts to jam or when the saw blocks and moves quickly in the
direction of the operator. Let go off the switch immediately in this case. Do not exert excessive power.
Proceed with caution and in a controlled manner.
WARNING!
Do NOT lose your attention simply because you are familiar with the saw. Remember
that already a fraction of a second is sufcient to cause severe injuries.
This saw is fitted with special saw blades. Saw blades of another type may be used under cer-
tain circumstances. The use of other saw blades is not safe and may cause severe injuries.
If the saw blades come into contact with the workpiece before the full operating speed is rea-
ched, the saw may recoil, can cause severe injuries.
