Use the protective equipment. Always wear protective glasses. If the conditions so require, a dust
mask, anti-slip safety boots, a protective helmet or hearing protection must be worn.
USE AND MAINTENANCE
Use bar clamps or other devices to fasten the workpiece on a stable platform. It is dangerous and you
can easily lose your balance if you hold the workpiece in your hand or press it against your body. Hold
the tool tight so that you do not lose control.
Do not exert excessive pressure on the device. Use the suitable tool for the relevant purpose. With the
suitable tool, you achieve better results and reduce the risk of accident.
Do not use the tool if it cannot be switched on or off with the push button. Tools that cannot be swit-
ched on and off using the push button are dangerous and need to be repaired.
Disconnect the tool from the mains before making any inspections or settings, replacing accessories
or stowing the tool away. These precautionary measures reduce the risk of the tool being started by
accident.
Store the tool in a dry and safe place which neither children nor other persons not training in operating
the tool can access. Electric tools represent a hazard if they are used by untrained persons.
Ensure appropriate maintenance of the tools. Keep the cutting tools clean and in a sharp condition.
Correctly maintained tools with sharp edges block less frequently and are more easy to use. Every
retrofitting or modification constitutes abuse and may result in hazardous situations.
Check the tool for moving components that are incorrectly adjusted or rib next to one another, dama-
ged parts and other problems, which may affect the normal operation of the tool. Contact customer
services for damaged parts before continuing to use the tool. Many accidents are down to insufficiently
maintained tools. Define a maintenance plan for your tools, which specifies regular inspections. Cont-
act customer services to have faulty switched replaced. Ensure that the handles are dry, clean and free
from oil and grease.
Use only accessories recommended by the manufacturer for your model. Accessories that are planned
for a certain tool can cause dangerous conditions when used for another tool.
Ensure that the cable is not in the cutting area when the tool is in operation.
CUSTOMER SERVICES
Repairs on the tool may be carried out by qualified specialist staff only. Maintenance or repair work
that is not carried out by qualified staff may increase the risk of injury. Contact customer services with
all questions regarding repairs.
For maintenance or repair work on the tool, identical spare parts need to be used. Follow the instruc-
tions in the repair sections of this manual. The use of non-authorised parts or the non-observance of
repair instructions increases the risk of electric shock and injury. Certain detergents, such as petrol,
carbon tetrachloride, ammonia, etc., may cause damage to the plastic parts.
IMPORTANT NOTE!
THE MOVING PARTS MAY NOT BE TOUCHED AS LONG AS THE MACHINE IS RUNNING.
SPECIAL SAFETY REGULATIONS
HAZARD! KEEP HANDS AWAY FROM SAW AREA AND SAW BLADE.
Always hold the machine with one hand on the additional handle and with the other one on the motor
housing. If you hold the machine with both hands, there is a risk of the hands coming into contact with
the saw blades. Hold the saw to the side of the body so that your body is not located on an extended
line behind the saw blade. Hold the saw tight so that you do not lose control. Do not hold with your
hands under the material that you are processing. The protective lid does not offer any protection from
the saw blade on the bottom of the material. Do not attempt to remove material parts already sawn
off as long as the saw blade is still moving. Always ensure that the bottom protective lid is correctly
closed before using the saw. Do not use the saw if the lower protective lid cannot be moved smoothly
and does not immediately close. Never jam or tie down the bottom protective lid in the open position. If
the saw accidentally falls to the ground, the bottom protective lid may bend. Lift the bottom protective
lid with the use of a lifting handle and ensure that the protective lid can move smoothly and does not
touch the saw blade or other parts. Check the operability and condition of the spring for the bottom
protective lid in all cut angles and depths. If the protective lid and the spring do not operate correctly,
the machine will need to be repaired before any further use. Damaged parts, adhesive deposits or slud-
ge residue may result in the bottom protective lid movingly only with great effort. Disconnect the mains
adapter from the socket. Occasionally remove the saw blade, clean the top and bottom protective lids
