INSTALLATION MANUAL
Ø
Connect the gas pipe as described in chapter 5.7.
Ø
Place the data plate (C) in the bracket in the bottom of the protective hood (D).
Ø
Hook the protective hood into bracket (A) and fasten it with the self-tapping screw;
Ø
Guide the flexible gas pipe that leads to the burner through the recess (2);
Ø
Guide the cables through the protected recess (3);
!Caution
Make sure the cables of the ionization pens and spark plugs do not touch metal parts, they should also not make
contact with signal and voltage cables.
Ø
Use cable ties to fasten cables and pipes.
!Caution
There are 230V of mains voltage on the gas unit, and it must be guarded;
Carefully observe the necessary safety instructions that also apply to the control hatch. (see chapter 5.5 to
5.7).
5.13 Mantel iron
If the chimney breast is made of stone-like material, it is necessary to place a mantel iron. A mantel iron must be
placed to prevent that the appliance has to carry the weight of the stone-like materials that were used to build the
chimney breast (masonry chimney breast).
Placing the mantel iron (see appendix 3, fig. 2d):
Ø
Cut the mantel iron to the correct size;
Ø
Position the mantle iron;
!Caution
Do not allow the mantel iron to rest on the construction frame.
Ø
Attach the threaded rod(s) in the nut(s) on the corner(s) of the mantel iron (A);
!Caution
Adjust the threaded rod(s) with tensioning nut(s) (B) so that there is sufficient room for adjustment.
Ø
Determine the height of the eye(s) (C);
Ø
Attach the eye(s) to the wall using the key bolt(s);
Ø
Attach the hook(s) (D) of the threaded rod(s) to the eye(s);
Ø
Level it all with the tensioning screw(s).
5.14 Glass panes
After placement of the wood set, it is possible to place the glass panes:
!Caution
Avoid damaging the glass panes during removal/placing;
Use the socket spanner supplied for loosening/tightening the self-tapping screws;
If applicable, use the supplied allen key for loosening/fastening the allen screws;
Avoid/remove fingerprints on the glass panes, as they will burn into the glass.
5.14.1 Removing the front glass pane
For removing the front glass pane, please observe the following steps.
Appliance with 3 sides of glass (see appendix 3, fig. 6):
Ø
If applicable, slide the lower decorative strip (A) towards the front, it does not have to be removed completely;
Ø
Unscrew the self-tapping screws from the upper glass strip and remove the upper glass strip (B);
Ø
Grab the glass pane at both sides;
Ø
Slightly tilt the top of the glass pane towards you;
Ø
Lift up the pane and tilt it forward at the bottom;
!Caution
Make sure you do not damage the glass pane.
Ø
Remove the glass pane.
Appliance with 2 sides of glass (see appendix 3, fig. 7):
Ø
If applicable, slide the lower decorative strip (A) towards the front, it does not have to be removed completely;
Ø
Unscrew the allen bolt of the vertical decorative strip (C) located at the long pane side;
Ø
Grab the vertical decorative strip at the top, tilt the vertical decorative strip and remove it;
Ø
Unscrew the self-tapping screws from the vertical glass strip (D) and remove the vertical glass strip;
Ø
Unscrew the self-tapping screws from the upper glass strip and remove the upper glass strip (B);
Ø
Place the suction cup (E) on the front pane on the closed side of the appliance;
Ø
Grab the pane at the suction cup and side and slightly tilt the top towards you;
Ø
Tilt the glass pane and move it sideways;
!Caution
Make sure you do not damage the glass pane.
Ø
Tilt the bottom of the glass pane towards the front and remove the glass pane.
