When purchasing a Dr. Kern tanning unit you have
decided in favour of a technically superior and high-
performance unit. When manufacturing the device we
did our very best to ensure a problem-free and safe
operation of the unit.
Fact is that you can essentially contribute to a very long
period of satisfactory performance. Please make sure
to read carefully the operation manual and perform the
assembly in accordance with the enclosed instructions.
Only an appropriate assembly ensures a perfect
operation of the tanning unit.
Useful information
The tanning unit is designed for use with fixed
connection or with CEE plug device to 380-400 W
3NAC. If the connecting cable is replaced, type H05W-
5FG 2.5 mm² (in the case of 120 W lamps) respectively
4.0 mm² (in the case of 180 V lamps) must be used.
The tanning unit must be installed only in dry rooms
which are protected against splash or drip water. A
relative humidity of 70% and a room temperature of
28°C should not be exceeded. A higher room
temperature leads to a higher temperature inside the
sun shower.
If a cooler ceases to function and as a consequence
of this failure the unit warms up extremely, immediately
disconnect the unit.
The electrical connection of the tanning unit must be
performed by authorised electricians only.
When working on the tanning unit (replacing of lamps
and starters or cleaning) always disconnect unit from
power supply.
Repair of the tanning unit only must be performed by
authorised electricians or by the customer service of
the manufacturing company.
When installing the tanning unit keep in mind that the
floor must have a load bearing capacity of at least 4.5
KN/m². If the load bearing capacity is less, the operator
must provide a respective evidence.
Attention!
This unit has an exhaust air system which only works
properly with an sufficient incoming and outgoing
air. The warranty expires if the requirements will
not be fulfilled.
