ERECTING YOUR AWNING
side the annex. Two systems exist
for fixing the annex. This depends
on the model of the awning. There
is a system by which the annex is
fitted to the awning with the use
of plastic extrusions and there is a
system by which the annex is fitted
to the awning with the use of zips.
Model with plastic extrusion
When the annex is fitted to the
awning with the use of plastic
extrusions the side wall should
remain zipped into the awning, otherwise it will not be possible to fit the
annex. Once the annex is erected the side wall has become a dividing
wall and access to the annex is gained by using the door.
1) First you start to assemble the frame of the annex as per the
enclosed frame diagram. Next you put the complete frame against
the side wall of the awning.
2) Now you can put the canvas of the annex on top of the frame. By
using the enclosed plastic extrusions, which should be inserted over
the white profile of the awning as well as the annex, you connect
the annex with the awning. Two plastic extrusions of 103 cm each
should be used for the roof of the annex (horizontal), while the four
extrusions of 83 cm each should be used for the side walls of the
annex (vertical).
3) Tie the binding tapes which are inside the annex onto the frame.
4) Now tension the frame of the annex starting with the roof section.
Please take care that the uprights are placed exactly in the corner
seams of the annex. Now tension the uprights to get the correct
height making sure that all pegging points are at the same height
from the ground.
5) After you have fitted the ladder straps onto the anchor fittings, you
can start to peg out. Start pegging out at the corners right next to
the awning, after this with the two remaining corners. Please make
sure all is pegged out in a nice straight line.
6) You can now fit the optional annex inner tent inside the annex and
your annex is now ready for use.
