1. Check regularly (about once a month) that the inside of the

appliance (accessible after removing the drip tray (A22))

is not dirty. If necessary, remove coee deposits with the

brush (C5) supplied and a sponge;

2. Remove all residues with a vacuum cleaner (g. 25).

12.6 Cleaning the water tank

1. Clean the water tank (A12) regularly (about once a month)

and whenever you replace the water softener lter (C4) (if

provided) with a damp cloth and a little mild washing up

liquid;

2. Remove the lter (C4) (if present) and rinse with running

water;

3. Replace the lter (if installed), ll the tank with fresh water

and replace;

4. (Models with water softener lter only) Deliver 100ml of

water to reactivate the lter.

12.7 Cleaning the coee spouts

1. Clean the coee spouts (A16) regularly with a sponge or

cloth (g. 26A);

2. Check the holes in the coee spouts are not blocked. If nec-

essary, remove coee deposits with a toothpick (g. 26B).

12.8 Cleaning the pre-ground coee funnel

Clean the pre-ground coee funnel (A4) regularly (about once a

month) with a damp cloth. Proceed as follows:

1. Open the lid (A3);

2. Extract the funnel (g. 27) and clean with the brush pro-

vided (C5);

3. If necessary, clean the funnel with hot water and washing

up liquid or in a dishwasher;

4. Put the funnel back in the appliance;

5. Close the lid.

12.9 Cleaning the infuser

The infuser must be cleaned at least once a month.

Important!

The infuser cannot be extracted when the machine is on.

1. Make certain that the machine has run the shutdown pro-

cedure correctly (see "5. Turning the appliance o");

2. Open the service door (A14) (g. 22);

3. Remove the drip tray (A22) and coee grounds container

(A23) (g. 23);

4. Press the two red release buttons inwards and at the same

time pull the infuser outwards (g. 28);

Important!

RINSE WITH WATER ONLY

NO DETERGENTS  NO DISH WASHER

Do not use detergents to clean the infuser as this could cause

damage.

5. Soak the infuser in water for about 5 minutes, then rinse

under the tap;

6. After cleaning, replace the infuser by sliding it onto the

internal support and pin at the bottom (g. 29), then push

the PUSH symbol fully in until it clicks into place (g. 30);

Please note:

If you encounter diculty inserting the infuser, before inserting

it you must adapt it to the right dimension by pressing it force-

fully from the bottom and top (g. 31).

7. Once inserted, make sure the two red buttons have

snapped out (g. 32).

8. Replace the drip tray and grounds container.

9. Close the service door.

12.10 Cleaning the milk container (D)

Clean the milk container each

time you prepare milk as de-

scribed below:

1. Press the release buttons

(D4) and lift and remove

the milk container lid (D1)

(g. 16);

2. Remove the milk spout

(D3) and intake tube (D5)

(g. 33);

3. Make sure the hole in the

milk intake tube connec-

tor (D7) is not blocked

(g. 34);

4. Turn the froth adjustment dial (D2) clockwise to the "IN-

SERT" position (g. 35) and pull;

5. Wash all the components of the frother thoroughly with

hot water and light washing-up liquid. All components

and the container are dishwasher safe, placing them in the

top basket;

Make sure there are no milk residues on the hollow and

groove under the dial (g. 36). If necessary, scrape the

groove with a toothpick;
