Il Radio CD riconosce i file audio compressi MP3
memorizzati su un disco CD-ROM. È possibile creare
(masterizzare) le proprie compilation su CD-ROM con
il vantaggio di poter memorizzare molta più musica
di quella contenuta in un CD audio. Il Radio CD
riconosce anche le cartelle al livello principale di
un CD-ROM e ne visualizza il nome. Le cartelle sul
CD-ROM costituiscono un modo pratico di scegliere
tra diversi gruppi di musica.
Il Radio CD riconosce un massimo di 99 tracce
in ogni cartella o al livello principale di un disco.
Non riconosce invece le sottocartelle. I file MP3
all'interno di sottocartelle vengono considerati come
memorizzati nella cartella di livello principale.
Sequenza di riproduzione su un CD-ROM
a) Il Radio CD riconoscerà per primi i file MP3
memorizzati al livello principale del CD-ROM
e riprodurrà la sequenza "nome file" di tali file,
ignorando i file che non terminano con ".mp3".
b) Dopo la riproduzione di tutti i file MP3 al livello
principale del CD-ROM, il Radio CD riprodurrà
il contenuto delle eventuali cartelle presenti sul
CD-ROM nella sequenza "nome file".
