RADIO DATA SERVICE (RDS)

Sommige FM-radiostations zenden samen met hun

programma's Radio Data Service (RDS)-tekst uit.

De eerste 8 tekens van de onderste regel worden

gebruikt voor de stationsidentificatietekst. Doorgaans

verandert die tekst niet tijdens een radio-uitzending.

De beschrijvende tekst verschijnt op de bovenste

regel. Die tekst kan bijvoorbeeld aangeven in welk

formaat het station uitzendt of de titel en de artiest

aangeven.

Cd-tekst

Audio-cd's bevatten tegenwoordig vaak een

beschrijvende tekst, die samen met hun

audioprogramma's wordt opgeslagen. De Radio CD

zal deze tekst decoderen en weergeven.

ID3-tekstinformatie van MP3-bestanden

MP3-bestanden die van het Internet worden

gedownload, bevatten soms ID3-tekstinformatie.

ID3-tekstinformatie kan aan MP3-bestanden worden

toegevoegd wanneer het bestand wordt aangemaakt

op basis van een niet-gecomprimeerde audiobron.

Als MP3-bestanden dergelijke tekst bevatten, zal de

Radio CD deze tekst weergeven. Als er geen

ID3-tekstinformatie beschikbaar is, geeft de Radio CD

de bestandsnaam weer.

Tekstweergave kiezen

Het menu JOG bevat verschillende opties voor RDS-

tekst en cd-tekst. Hierbij kunt u kiezen uit schuiftekst,

statische tekst of geen tekstweergave.
