3 – STOVE USE
3.1 Introduction
It
is
recommended
never
to
leave
children
unaccompanied
near
a
stove;
the
risk
of
getting
burnt
by
the
hot
surfaces
isvery
high.
Youare
recommended
to
follow
these
rules
meticulously:
-
never
use
the
stove
with
the
door
open;
-
do
not
keep
kindling
cubes
or
easily
flammable
materials
near
the
stove;
do
not
move
or
lift
thestove
with
the
handle.
3.2 Startup
With
the
first
start-up
there
may
be
bad
smells,
it
is
therefore
necessary
to
ventilate
the
room
well,
especially
when
lighting
the
first
time.
Lighting
the
stove
for
the
first
time
must
be
done
for
many
hours
with
a
low
flame
(adjuster
on
the
ash
door
open
30%).
Then
you
canincrease
the
heat
output
a
little
at
a
time
so
that
the
stove
will
expand
slowly
and
the
paint
and
putty
can
dry
out.
3.3 Igniting and feeding the fire
To
light
the
fire
it
is
recommended
to
use
small
strips
of
wood
and
newspaper,
or
other
means
sold
on
the
market
(excluding
all
solid
or
liquid
flammable
and/or
explosive
substances).
The
adjuster
on
the
door,
in
the
ash
zone,
must
be
open
and,
after
the
ignition
phase,
it
is
used
to
adjust
the
stove
output.
Once
the
stove
isthoroughly
hot,
adjust
the
primary
and
secondary
air
as
directed
in
the
following
paragraph.
The
secondary
air
is
also
used
to
keep
the
glass
clean
so
it
is
recommended
for
this
adjuster
to
always
be
slightly
open
when
the
stove
is
hot.
3.4 Normal operation
Remove
the
ash
from
the
grating
before
loading
with
fuel
each
time.
Put
2-3
blocks
of
firewood
on
the
bed
of
embers
for
even
consumption
and
a
good
level
of
output.
The
flue
stove
reaches
its
nominal
heat
output
when
adjusted
as
follows:
Combustibile
Primary
air:
Secondary
air:
Necessary
supply
pressure
FIREWOOD
Position
1-4
Open
10
Pa
Given
the
great
capacityof
the
combustion
chamber
it
is
recommended
never
to
load
too
much,
max
2-3
blocks
at
a
time:
the
hourly
firewood
load
to
obtain
the
nominal
heat
output
is
approximately
4.2
kg
.
Overloading
does
not
increase
output,
but
overheats
the
stove
damaging
it.
3.5 Operation with partial feeding
The
fire
output
canbe
adjusted
by
reducing
the
combustion
air.
To
ensure
operation
of
many
hours
with
little
output,
the
primary
and
secondary
air
valves
are
opened
only
on
the
minimum.
With
partial
feedinga
patina
may
form
on
the
glass
due
to
the
low
temperature
of
the
fire
zone.
A
continuous
fire
with
little
output
is
nothowever
recommended.
