B - PREPARATION FOR USE
IMPORTANT
This operation manual will help you use your
Campingaz
®
unit properly and in complete safety.
Consult the manual to familiarise yourself with the
unit, before connecting the gas cylinder.
Abide by the instructions given in this manual. Failure
to do so may be dangerous for the user and anyone
else close by.
Always keep this manual in a safe place, readily avai-
lable for reference if necessary.
This unit is manufactured to use either butane or pro-
pane, with a suitable regulator and a hose or flexible
hose, which are sold separately.
This unit should only be used outdoors, and away
from inflammable materials.
Never use a unit that is leaking, that is not operating
properly or that is damaged. Return it to your dealer,
who will indicate the nearest servicing agent.
Never modify this unit, or use it for applications for
which it was not intended.
B - 1 - Gas cylinder and regulator
This unit can be used with a CAMPINGAZ
®
butane
cylinder type 904 or 907 and the CAMPINGAZ
®
28-30
mbar or 50 mbar regulator.
It can also be used with other, larger, butane or
propane reservoirs (6 kg, 13 kg, etc.) and the appropri-
ate relief valves (consult your dealer):
France, Belgium, Luxembourg, U.K., Ireland,
Portugal, Spain, Italy:
butane 28-30 mbar / propane 37 mbar
Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands,
Czech Republic, Hungary:
butane 30 mbar / propane 30 mbar
Switzerland, Germany, Austria:
butane 50 mbar / propane 50 mbar
Poland: propane 37 mbar
When connecting or changing a cylinder, always oper-
ate in an open, well-ventilated place, and never in the
presence of a flame, spark or any other source of heat.
B - 2 - Hoses (see fig. 3)
France :
The unit can be used with two types of hose: the flexi-
ble hose and the hose:
a) flexible hose, that is pushed onto ribbed end-pieces
at the stove and regulator ends, and secured by col-
lars (standard XP D 36-110).
b) hose equipped with a 1/2" Gas nut on the stove end
and an M 20x1.5 nut at the regulator end (standard
XP D 36-112).
The unit is equipped with a 1/2" Gas union and is sup-
plied with a solid ribbed end-piece and seal.
Hose length should not exceed 1.50 m. The hose
should be changed if it is damaged or if it shows any
signs of splitting. Do not pull on the hose or twist it.
Keep the hose away from any parts that may become
hot.
Using the unit with a push-on flexible hose and col-
lars (standard XP D 36-110)
- Screw the ribbed end-piece onto the 1/2" Gas union
on the unit, ensuring that the rubber seal is properly
installed. When the seal is in contact with the union,
tighten around one half turn.
- Install the hose as described in the assembly instruc-
tions, supplied with the hose and collars.
- A gas-tight seal should be checked as described in
Section C).
Using the unit with a hose and 1/2" Gas and M
20x1.5 nuts (standard XP D 36-112)
- Obtain a hose that meets the requirements of stan-
dard XP D 36-112 and screw the 1/2" Gas nut on the
hose onto the union on the stove, and the other end
onto the regulator union, as described in the instruc-
tions supplied with the hose.
- A gas-tight seal should be checked as described in
Section C).
Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, U.K., Ireland,
Poland, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Czech Republic,
Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Hungary:
The stove is equipped with a ribbed end-piece for use
with a type of hose suitable for butane and propane.
Hose length should not exceed 1.20 m. The hose
should be changed if it is damaged or if it shows any
signs of splitting. Do not pull on the hose or twist it.
Keep the hose away from any parts that may become
hot.
- A gas-tight seal should be checked as described in
Section C).
Switzerland, Germany, Austria:
The stove should be used with a type of hose suitable
for butane and propane.
Hose length should not exceed 1.20 m. The hose
should be changed if it is damaged or if it shows any
signs of splitting. Do not pull on the hose or twist it.
Keep the hose away from any parts that may become
hot.
