7.4.2 Fill the combustion chamber

Wood is mainly composed of cellulose, wood poly-

ols and lignin. These basic substances do not burn

directly but exclusively their gases, which are produ-

ced at correspondingly high temperatures. The split-

ting of the wood decisively promotes this degassing

process. Use only split and dry wood to ﬁll the stove

supply and observance of the combustion tempera-

ture, a clean combustion is achieved. Burning starts

with less smoke and lasts longer if the burn is from

 Unlike a campﬁre, the ﬁre in the stove insert is lit

from the top. Place on top of the logs as small as

possible split, dry softwood as a ﬁring module

7.4.4 Fire lighting

WARNING: Risk of ﬁre due to pilot

No liquid fuels such. As alcohol, gasoline, oil or other

ﬂammable liquids use! Parain lighters or other st-

arting aids, such as Stove lighter made of wood

shavings with three to four pieces of small wood use.
