8.9 End of service life of the CO detector

If the product has reached the end of its service life (approx. 7 - 10 years), a beep

sounds 3 mes in succession every 60 seconds and at the same me the yellow

LED blinks.

8.10 Calibraon

The calibraon can only be carried out by experts. Never calibrate this device

by yourself!

The calibraon is carried out with a gas concentraon of 400 PPM. This will not

reduce the accuracy of the unit. Each device was calibrated before delivery. Press

the "test / hush" key unl all 3 LEDs light up. Then release the "test / hush" key. The

green and the yellow LEDs switch o and only the red LED is on. This means that

the calibraon mode is acvated for 5 minutes. If the device cannot measure any

CO concentraon within these 5 minutes, the calibraon mode ends automacally.

Aer calibraon with carbon monoxide has been carried out, all 3 LEDs light up 3

mes. This means that the calibraon was successful.

Note: This device has a minimum CO concentraon of 250 PPM

for calibraon. If the CO concentraon is less than 250 PPM, the previous

calibraon values are not overwrien.

If the CO concentraon on the display is above 30 PPM, the unit leaves

automacally the calibraon mode to avoid a malfuncon. If the cali-

braon mode is triggered accidentally, the "test / hush" buon should be

pressed once to end this mode.

9. When the CO alarm is triggered

Immediately seek fresh air or open all doors and windows to venlate the area and

allow the carbon monoxide to escape.
