If possible, shut down all possible sources of carbon monoxide (e.g. replace or gas

oven) and leave the building as soon as possible.

Enter the concerned area only aer proper venlaon and aer the CO concentra-

on value has been reduced to a non-crical level and the alarm signal of the CO

detector is no longer triggered.

Contact an expert and allow for a proper examinaon and possible repair of the

concerned fuel-burning appliance before using it again.

In case of extremely high CO concentraon and if the source cannot be determined

or eliminated, you should immediately seek fresh air and alert other occupants.

Call the re brigade and rescue teams immediately and follow their instrucons.

10. Maintenance

The carbon monoxide detector warns you of potenally dangerous CO concentra-

ons in your house if you ensure proper maintenance.

To maintain your CO detector in a sound condion, we recommend:

• Test the alarm at least once a month by pressing the "test / hush" key.

• Remove the dust regularly from the CO detector. Do not use any moist cloth

for this purpose. Clean the device very carefully with a moist cloth only.

• Never use any cleaning soluons.

• Do not paint the alarm or paint over the alarm.

Ensure that your occupants know the causes and eects of carbon monoxide poi-

soning. Check the CO detector once a month.

Exchange empty baeries immediately. A qualied technician should check the

installaon. Regularly examine your fuel-burning appliances such as the replace

or the gas oven.
