[2] Boiler flow connection
[3] Safety valve/flow pressure relief valve (VSL) connection
[4] Flue connection
[5] Heating return connection 1 (RK1)
[6] Heating return connection 2 (RK2)
Connecting the heating flow
Connect heating flow to the flow connection [VK] of the boiler
( fig. 12, [2], page 19).
Connecting the boiler safety assembly
Connect the fittings manifold (accessory) to the fittings manifold
connection [1].
6.5 Connecting the safety valve
NOTICE:
System damage through connecting the wrong assemblies to the
flow safety pipe.
Never connect a DHW cylinder or other heating circuit to the flow
safety pipe.
Connect the pressure relief valve to the flow safety pipe connection
[VSL] ( fig. 12, page 19).
In open-vented systems, the flow safety pipe is connected to the
connection [VSL].
6.6 Installing the low water indicator (accessory)
For boilers > 300 kW, install a low water indicator or minimum
pressure limiter.
For installation, adjustment and operation, refer to the documents
provided by the manufacturer.
Install the low water indicator in the supply flow adaptor piece or in
the flow pipe directly downstream of the boiler in a vertical pipe.
6.7 Installing the condensate hose and condensate
neutraliser
DANGER:
Risk to life through poisoning!
Open connections and siphons that are not filled with water can allow
flue gas to discharge and cause a danger to life.
Filling the siphon with water.
Ensure that the siphon and flue gas connections are sealed.
Ensure that the sealing washer with gasket is seated in the cap.
NOTICE:
System damage through condensate!
Ensure that the condensate pipes and condensate neutraliser are
working.
Installing the siphon
Fit the siphon provided to the condensate pipe
( fig. 1, [5], page 7).
Install connection elbow with slight slope.
If the siphon cannot be installed vertically:
Tilt the siphon so it is at a maximum angle of 45°.
Always lay condensate hose with a slope!
Unscrew cap and fill siphon with around 2 litres of water.
You must ensure that the condensate generally runs via the flue pipe into
the boiler. If this is not possible, use only stainless steel or plastic tees in
the separate hose line. With ceramic flue systems, fit a sludge separator
(sludge trap).
Installing the condensate neutraliser
During installation and maintenance of the condensate neutraliser:
Install the condensate neutraliser according to the installation
instructions!
Connect the drain hose to the condensate drain with a hose clip.
Installing the condensate line
When installing the condensate hose, observe the following:
Carefully and correctly route the accumulated condensate inside the
boiler and flue.
Discharge the condensate into public waste water systems in
accordance with the country-specific regulations.
Observe regional regulations.
6.8 Filling the boiler and checking connections for leaks
DANGER:
Risk of injury and/or system damage through excess pressure when
testing for leaks!
Pressure, control and safety equipment may be damaged through
excessive pressure.
When carrying out the tightness test, ensure that no pressure,
control or safety equipment is fitted that cannot be isolated from the
boiler water chamber.
