CH backup mixed (H) ()

Transfer system (I)

If the temperature of the preheating cylinder (cylinder 1 – left) exceeds the temperature of the standby
cylinder (cylinder 3 – right) by the set switch-on temperature differential, the transfer pump is switched on.

DHW cylinder with internal heat exchanger.

Therm.dis./daily heat-up (K)
Thermal disinfection to prevent legionella ( HSE ACOP L8 for UK) and daily heating up of the DHW cylinder/s
The entire volume of hot water is heated up on a weekly basis for half an hour to at least the temperature that
has been set for thermal disinfection.
The entire volume of hot water is heated up on a daily basis to the temperature that has been set for daily
heat-up. This function is not executed if the domestic hot water has already reached the temperature within
the last 12 hours as a result of solar heating.
In the solar system configuration, the illustration does not show that this function was added. “K” is added to the
designation of the solar system.
Heat meter (L)
Selecting the heat meter enables the yield calculation to be activated.
Based on the measured temperatures and the flow rate, the heat usage is calculated taking account of the
glycol content in the solar circuit.

Notice: The yield calculation only provides correct values if the heat meter operates at 1 pulse/litre.
Temp differential controller (M)
Freely-configurable temperature differential controller (only available when the MS 200 is combined with the
MS 100, Fig. 32, page 181)
A pump or a valve is controlled via the output signal depending on the temperature differential between the
temperature at the heat source and at the heat sink and the switch-on/switch-off temperature differential.
Cylinder 3 with valve (N)
3nd cylinder with priority/secondary control via 3-way valve ( Fig. 34, page 183)
Selectable priority cylinder (cylinder 1 – top left, cylinder 2 – bottom left, cylinder 3 – top right)
Cylinder charging only switches over to the low priority cylinder via the 3-way valve if the high priority
cylinder cannot be heated any further.
While the low priority cylinder is being heated, the solar pump is switched off at adjustable test intervals for
the duration of the test in order to check whether the high priority cylinder can be heated up (change-over
check).
