Grilling
For grilling please use the grilling grid. Use suitable heatresistant table-
ware or place the food to be grilled directly on the grid.
“Preheating” the grill is not necessary, as the grill produces radiant heat
immediately.
Proceed as follows for roasting and scalloping:
1. Press the COMBI / GRILL / CONV button until “

2. Use the turning knob to set the desired cooking time between
10 seconds and 60 minutes.

Convection
The convection mode allows you too cook food as in a common stove.
The microwave operation will not be active then. The heat is generated by
a heating element on the fan. We recommend you pre-heating the appli-
ance to the required temperature before placing the food inside.
1. Place the food into the appliance.
2. Press the COMBI / GRILL / CONV button until “
” appears on the
display.
3. Select the desired temperature by repeatedly pressing the DEFROST /
AUTO / TEMP / CLOCK button.
4. Use the turning knob to set the desired cooking time between
10 seconds and 60 minutes.
5. Press the START button to start operation.
NOTE:
Here, too, the set temperature is reached once the temperature indica-
tor stops ashing.
Combinations of Microwave, Grill and Convection
When using these settings, microwave, grill and convection will operate in
turns.

For the programs
and the temperature must rst be selected
before you can use the rotary knob. Select the temperature via the
DEFROST / AUTO / TEMP / CLOCK button.
3. Press the START button to start operation.
Tips on Combined Operation
If you prepare food using the combined microwave-grill functions you
should note the following:
For large, thick foods such as roast pork the microwave time is corre-
spondingly longer than for small, at foods. However, in the case of the
grill it is the other way round. The closer the food is to the grill, the faster it
turns brown. This means that when large joints are prepared using com-
bined operation the grilling time may be shorter than for smaller joints.
Use the grilling grid for roasting in order to achieve a quick and even
browning.
Auto Functions
Use the auto functions to cook certain amounts of foods automatically.
Proceed as follows:
1. Select the desired automatic program by repeatedly pressing the
DEFROST / AUTO / TEMP / CLOCK button. Choose one of the settings
given in the table below.
2. Use the turning knob to set the desired weight.
3. Press the START button to start operation.
