pressure cooker is now ready for use.
Insert the sealing ring
1. Insert the sealing ring (6) into the
pressure lid without twisting it and or
leaving gaps. the sealing ring must lie
flat underneath the inwardly bent edge
segments of the stainless steel lid.
Watch the fill level
NOTE
Don't overfill your pressure cooker.
Use the MAX-marking inside the
pot. For foods that foam or expand
during cooking, such as rice,
legumes, broths or dried vegetables,
fill the pressure cooker to no higher
than half its capacity.
The minimum amount of liquid
(1/4 liter) is necessary for steam
production, regardless of
whether you are cooking with or
without the steamer.
Check the safety valve
The safety valve (5) indicates the
pressure in the pressure cooker by its
red cap:
Red cap is down:
The pressure cooker is not under
pressure and can be opened.
Red cap is up:
The pressure cooker is under pressure
and CANNOT be opened.
NOTE
Before using each time, check that
the safety valve can move lightly by
pressing against it from beneath. It
must be able to move up and down
freely.
1. Put the ingredients into the pressure
cooker. Don't overfill the pressure
cooker.
2. Check for correct seating of the seal-
ing ring.
3. Close the pressure lid of the pressure
cooker.
4. Put the pressure cooker onto the
cooker and switch the cooker on to
maximum heat.

Set the timer
1. Press the SET/STOP button to turn
the timer on. The display shows 00.
2.Press SET/STOP again until you have
set the desired number of minutes
(max. 30 minutes). Hold down SET/
STOP to increase the speed.
3.The time flashes on the timer and runs
backwards. The last 59 seconds show
in seconds rather than minutes.
Several signals will sound once the
time has elapsed.
4.In order to stop the timer prematurely,
press SET/STOP. The timer will
automatically stop once the time has
elapsed.
