Sterilizzare

• Sterilizzare contemporaneamente non più di 5 barattoli della stessa gran-

dezza dal volume massimo di 1 litro.

• Appoggiare le guarnizioni di caucciù e i coperchi bagnati sui barattoli

riempiti e chiudere ogni barattolo con la molletta.

• Infilare i barattoli, come illustrato, nel forno freddo sulla tortiera infilata

nell’appoggio 2, facendo attenzione che non si tocchino tra loro.

• Chiudere lo sportello del forno. Per sterilizzare si può usare sia o il calore

inferiore

o l’aria calda . Regolare per entrambi i tipi di riscaldamento il

regolatore della temperatura su 150 °C.

• Commutare sullo 0 il regolatore della temperatura, appena il liquido inizia a

emettere bollicine, quindi quando iniziano a salire bollicine a brevi intervalli

(dopo 60–90 minuti con il calore inferiore e dopo 35–40 minuti con l’aria

calda). Lasciar riposare i barattoli nel forno per almeno 40 minuti.

• Dopo spegnere il forno (regolare il commutatore del tipo di cottura su zero),

aprire la porta del forno di uno spiraglio e lasciar raffreddare lentamente i

barattoli nel forno.

• Quando i barattoli saranno completamente freddi, controllarne l’ermeticità.
