 The chain brake is a protective mechanism that is
iggered when the chain saw strikes backwards or
utomatically by the front hand guard (3). The saw chain

Checking of chain brake
Check the chain brake’s proper function before each work start.
Start the engine, see “Starting the chain saw”.
Hold the chain saw with both hands and allow the engine to
run.
