For models tted with a surge protection ange, remove the nut (D, g. 7) and remove the bracket xing the ange in
place (S, g. 7), then press the ange (F, g. 7) inwards and remove it with a semicircular movement.
For other models, loosen the 5 bolts (C, g. 8) and remove the ange (F, g. 8). The heating element and anode are
attached to the ange. During reassembly, make sure that the ange gasket, the thermostat and the heating element are
put back in their original positions (g. 7 and 8).
We recommend replacing the ange gasket (Z Fig. 9) every time it is disassembled.
Use only original spare parts.
Periodical maintenance
The heating element (R g. 9) should be descaled every two years to ensure it works properly approximately every two
years (the frequency must be increased, if water is very hard).
If you pre- fer not to use special liquids for this operation, simply crumble away the lime deposit without damaging the
heating element.
Replace the magnesium anode (N g. 9) every two years (except products with stainless steel tank),
but in the presence hard water or water rich with chloride it is necessary to verify the anode state every year.
To remove this, disassemble the heating element and unscrew from the support bracket.
Safety valve
Regularly check that the overpressure device is not jammed or damaged; if it is, remove any scale or replace it.
If the device has a lever or knob, operate it to:
- drain the appliance, if necessary
- check its operation from time to time.
USER INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION Observe all general warnings and safety standards listed at the begin-
ning of this text in full; all such instructions are obligatory.
Advice for user
-Avoidpositioninganyobjectsand/orappliancesthatcouldbedamagedbywaterleaksbeneaththewaterheater.
- Should you not use any water for an extended period of time, you should:
disconnect the appliance from the electrical supply by switching the external switch to “OFF”;
turn off the plumbing circuit taps.
- Hot water at above 50°C owing out of the taps at the point of use could cause serious scalds or even death from burns.
Children, the disabled and the elderly are more exposed to the risk of burns. It is strictly forbidden for the user to perform
any routine or extraordinary maintenance.
Reset/Diagnostics
• For models featuring a user interface as represented in gures 3 and 4.
When one of the malfunctions described above occurs, the appliance will enter its “fault status” and all LEDs on the
control panel will ash simultaneously.
Reset: to reset the appliance, switch the product off and on again using the
button (Ref. A). If the cause of the mal-
function disappears immediately following the reset process, the appliance will resume normal operation. If this is not the
case,alltheLEDswillcontinuetoash;contacttheTechnicalAssistanceCentre.
Diagnostics: to enable the diagnostic function, hold the
button (ref. A) for 5 seconds. The type of fault is indicated by
ve LEDs (Ref. 1-5) according to the following scheme:
LED ref. 1 – Internal P.C.B. malfunction;
LEDref.2–Anodemalfunction(inmodelsttedwithactiveanode);
LED ref. 3 – NTC 1/NTC 2 temperature sensors broken (open or short-circuited);
LED ref. 5 – Water overheating detected by an individual sensor;
LEDs ref. 4 and 5 – General overheating (P.C.B. malfunction);
LEDs ref. 3 and 5 – Sensor differential error;
LEDs ref. 3, 4 and 5 – Operation without water.
Exit the diagnostic function by pressing the
button (Ref. A) or wait for 25 seconds.
• For models featuring a user interface as represented in gures 5 and 6.
When any of the operation problems occur, the appliance goes into “fault status” and the corresponding error code
ashes on the display (for example, E01). The error codes are the following:
E01 – E02 – E03 – Water overheating;
E10 – E11 – E12 – E13 – E16 – NTC sensor error (sensor malfunction);
E04 – Operation without water;
E14–E15–Anodeerror;
