For the Fitter
Floors
The standing surface of the unit must be level and sufficiently stable so that the housing is not
deformed.
A temperature resistance of the fastening wall of at least 85 °C and of the floor of at least 80 °C
must be ensured. The heaters can be placed on any conventional floor but changes may occur in
the rail area on PVC, parquet and long pile carpeted floors under the influence of pressure and
temperature. In this case heat-resistant underlay tiles must be used (to be provided on site).
2.4.2 Fastening of the Units with Floor Clearance with Wall Consoles
Before installing the unit, two wall holders (26) must be screwed to the wall under consideration
of the safety distances (dimensions see ”Technical data” page 9).
The following must be observed with this installation site:
If a stable wall is available, the unit can be fixed to the installation wall with the wall holders
provided.
The following applies:
WSP 1210 F to WSP 3610 F = Floor clearance only possible with wall holder;
WSP 4210 F and WSP 4810 F = Floor clearance only possible in connection with the wall holder
with a support console.
Attention:
It should be checked thoroughly whether the fastening wall and the enclosed screws and plugs
are suitable to take the full weight of the unit.
With a wall of limited stability, floor clearance for the units WSP 1210 F to WSP 3610 F is only
possible in connection with the combination wall holder/support console (special accessories).
2.4.3 Installation with Floor Consoles
If no suitable fastening wall exists, the unit must be fixed to the floor with the floor console
(special accessory) (screw fitting unit/console and console/floor).
2.5 Unit Installation (fig. 3-14)
Before fixing the unit, make sure that the permissible minimum distances from adjacent objects
are kept.
Two wall holders are fixed to the back wall of the unit which must be unscrewed before installa-
tion.
2.5.1 Unit Installation (fig. 3-6)
Unscrew the air outlet grille (5) and remove with the air inlet grille;
Unscrew the front wall (4) at the bottom edge, swing forward and remove by lifting slightly at
the top edge;
Unscrew the inside front wall (8) at the side lugs, swing the top end forward and pull out from
above;
Lift the right side wall (3) slightly and remove;
Feed the power cables and connecting cables for charging control unit and discharge control
unit through the opening in unit rear wall (15) and connect according to section 2.5.2 (lay
connecting cable about 210 mm and shorten as required so that it does not obstruct the air
vents in the side wall);
Install the unit according to section 2.4;
Remove cover plate (10), cardboard inlays and operating button and mounting material kit
(screws and plugs) from inside (fig. 9). This must be completely free of foreign bodies such as
packing leftovers.
Check the thermal insulation in the unit for transportation damage and replace if necessary.
