8.3 Outputs
The GSM-Interface has a total of 4 outputs, of which one is a relay output and three
are transistor outputs. All outputs can be switched either by triggering the inputs or
by SMS commands. Each output switches either as a pulse or constantly.
8.3.1 Output events
Outputs that are defined as “event” can be activated by the following events:
Inputs 1-4: Triggering or resetting an input results in switching the output.
Tamper: The output switches when the cover or wall contact is triggered.
PSTN Lost: Loss of analogue telephone line. The output switches following
timeout of the period defined as “PSTN Loss Delay” during programming.
GSM Trouble: The output switches in the following circumstances:
SIM card missing or defective
GSM signal strength too low
GSM network fault
The output switches following timeout of the period defined as “GSM Loss
Delay” during programming.
Mains power loss: Loss of power supply. The output switches following
timeout of the period defined as “AC Loss Delay” during programming.
Low Battery: Switches when the voltage supply falls below 11 V DC.
SIM card expired: The output switches 30 days before expiry of the period
defined as “SIM validity” during programming.
Periodic test: The output switches following timeout of the “clock time”
defined during programming.
PSTN+GSM Loss: The output switches if both the analogue line and the
GSM network fail.
8.3.2 Clip control function
Output 1 can be defined as “Clip control” type.
This output can be switched by all pre-programmed telephone numbers that have
this function. The user dials the number of the device and hangs up after the
second ringing tone. The GSM-Interface recognises the telephone number and
automatically switches output 1.
The advantage of this function is that the call is free! The Clip control function can,
for example, be useful for switching on external lighting.
8.4 Message transmission
The GSM-Interface can transmit messages to up to 8 contacts, using two different
communication formats:
Voice messages
Text messages (SMS)
