3 Het installeren van ADSL
De volgende hoofdstukken bevatten informatie over het installeren van ADSL via Solcon. Volg de
stappen die voor u van toepassing zijn.
U heeft alleen Internet besteld
- Stap 1 Sluit uw modem aan

U heeft Internet + Telefonie besteld
- Stap 1 Sluit uw modem aan
- Stap 2 Sluit uw computer aan
- Stap 3 Uw telefoontoestel aansluiten op de modem
- Stap 4 Uw nieuwe internet- en telefonieverbinding testen
Stap 1. Sluit uw modem aan
Sluit het modem aan op uw IS/RA punt. Het IS/RA punt is uw hoofd-telefoonaansluiting in uw woning.
Deze bevindt in de meeste gevallen in uw meterkast of in uw woonkamer. Er zijn verschillende types
IS/RA punten. Deze staan hieronder afgebeeld. In bijna alle gevallen kunt u uw modem hierop direct
aansluiten middels de meegeleverde kabels. Gebruik hiervoor de grijze telefoonkabel. Sluit deze aan
in het ‘DSL’ poort (grijze poort). Sluit vervolgens de andere kant van de kabel aan op het IS/RA punt.
Let op
Heeft u telefonie via het analoge netwerk van KPN, gebruik dan de
meegeleverde splitter. Deze kunt u herkennen aan het plaatje hier
rechts afgebeeld. Sluit het meegeleverde telefoonkabel aan op ‘DSL’
van het modem. Sluit deze vervolgens aan op ‘DSL’ van de splitter.
Sluit vervolgens een 2

telefoonkabel aan op LINE van de splitter.
Deze dient vervolgens op het IS/RA te worden aangesloten. Uw
telefoontoestel sluit u vervolgens aan op ‘PHONE’ van de splitter.
Stap 2. Sluit uw computer aan
Sluit uw computer aan op de modem volgens het onderstaande schema. Gebruik hiervoor de
meegeleverde netwerkkabel. Sluit de kabel aan op LAN1 van het modem. Vervolgens sluit u de
andere kant van de netwerkkabel aan op uw computer.
