Extract from the German road

traffic regulations (StVZO)

According to the German road traffic regulations, a bike may only be used on public roads if it is equipped with

 Two independently acting brakes,

 A clearly audible bell,

 A functioning front light (rated power 3 watts, rated voltage 6 volts),

 A front reflector (white) if not integrated into the front light,

 A functioning rear light (red),

 Two rear reflectors (red), one of which a large-area reflector (Z reflector),

 two reflective spokes (yellow) or reflective side stripes (white) per wheel,

 Pedal reflectors (yellow)

WARNING

Strict attention must be paid to compliance with the safety regulations according to the road traffic regulations. Unless your bike complies with

the requirements above, you must NOT use it on public roads. According to the road traffic regulations, every road user must behave in such a

way that no other person is endangered, harmed, inconvenienced or obstructed.

1. Intended use and restrictions on use

GENERAL RESTRICTIONS ON USE

Your bike is not intended for the following purposes:

 Riding in sandy terrain (grains of sand can cause damage to bearings)

 Riding in water (bottom bracket and hubs must not be immersed in water)

 Riding in salty environments (e.g. sea water on the beach)
