De printer controleren/beheren met CentreWare IS
Wanneer de printer in een TCP/IP-omgeving is geïnstalleerd, kunt u de printerstatus
controleren en de instellingen van de printer configureren via de webbrowser van een
netwerkcomputer. Ook kunt u CentreWare IS gebruiken om de resterende hoeveelheid
verbruiksartikelen en papier van deze printer te controleren.
Opmerking: Als u deze printer als lokale printer gebruikt, kunt u geen gebruikmaken van
CentreWare IS. Raadpleeg
De status van de printer controleren met PrintingScout op
pagina 144 voor meer informatie over het controleren van de status van een lokale printer.
De volgende browsers worden door CentreWare IS ondersteund:
• Netscape 7 en hoger
• Internet Explorer 5 en hoger
CentreWare IS openen
Volg de volgende procedure om CentreWare IS te openen.
1. Start de webbrowser.
2. Geef het IP-adres van de printer op in het veld Adres van de browser
(http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx).
Het scherm CentreWare IS verschijnt.
De online Help gebruiken
Voor informatie over de opties die in ieder CentreWare IS-scherm kunnen worden ingesteld,
raadpleegt u de online Help via de knop Help.
Opmerking: Als u op de knop Help klikt, verschijnt de online handleiding op de
Xerox-website.
De status van de printer controleren met PrintingScout
PrintingScout is een hulpprogramma dat met uw Xerox-printerstuurprogramma wordt
geïnstalleerd. Wanneer u een afdruktaak verzendt, controleert dit programma automatisch
de printerstatus. PrintingScout brengt u op de hoogte van het papierformaat dat in de
laden in geplaatst, de status van de uitvoerlade en de resterende hoeveelheid verbruiks-
artikelen, zoals bijvoorbeeld printercassettes.
