The shield protects your hands ensuring easy cut-
ting with a good view of the cutting area.
Impact protection [13]
The projecting guide rail protects you against
unpleasant impacts, e.g. recoil moments, if you hit a
solid object (wall, oor, etc.).
Two-handed safety switch [2], [4]
Switching on and operation of the hedge trimmer
requires both hands. One hand operates the on/o󰀨
switch on the handle, the other hand operates the
on/o󰀨 switch on the bow-shaped handle. If one or
other of the switches is released, the cutting blade
automatically comes to a standstill.

ger approved by the manufacturer. The
designations of the approved chargers
are listed in the enclosed CE Declaration
of Conformity.

The power pack is supplied partially charged. Be-
fore rst use, fully charge the power pack to ensure
full capacity of the power pack.
ÎPower pack charging must be carried out ac-
cording to the instructions in the supplementary
documentation.

The 2-stage latching mechanism is used to set oper-
ating or transport mode of the power pack.
Position 1 1
3The power pack is in transport mode.
The electric contacts are open to prevent the
power pack from self-discharging during stor-
age.
Position 2 2
3The power pack is in operating mode.
The electrical contacts are closed and the de-
vice is ready for use.
Adjusting the working angle E
WARNING!
Risk of injuries due to the cutting tool.
¾Switch o󰀨 the device and wait until the
cutting tool comes to a standstill before
making adjustments to the device.
The battery-operated hedge trimmer can be set
to ve di󰀨erent operating angles. You can turn the
handle to the left or right by 45° or 90°.
This allows you to easily reach problematic and
di󰀩cult-to-access positions in the garden.
ÎPull the locking lever 1.
3The handle releases from the engaged position.
ÎAdjust the working angle by turning the handle to
the right or left.
