Please read this instruction manual carefully and familiarise yourself with
your new bread maker, before using the first time. Please retain this manual
for future reference.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
- Never try to remove the plug from the socket by pulling the mains lead.
- Disconnect the appliance from the main supply when not in use.
- Disconnect the appliance from the main supply before cleaning.
- Never immerse the appliance in water.
- Should the appliance accidentally be immersed in water while in use,
switch off the main supply immediately and remove the plug from the
socket. Do not use again until an authorized customer service centre
has checked it. This is also the case if the appliance should accidentally
been dropped or damaged.
- Keep the cord away from hot objects.
- Avoid any damage to the cord. Do not bend or wrap the cord around
the appliance.
- A damaged cord must only be replaced by one of the same type or
model.
- In case of damage to either the appliance or the cord, it should not be
repaired by anyone other than an authorized customer service centre.
- Please do not position the breadmaker in moist or hot areas.
- During operation the distance of the breadmaker to the wall or other
utensils must be 5 cm at the minimum.
- During operation the breadmaker must not be covered.
- Please be careful when using the appliance near children.
- Never remove appliance casing, as there are no serviceable parts
contained within.
- Never try to get into the casing with metallic objects such as knifes,
needles etc.
- Do not use the appliance with an extension cord.
- Do not use the appliance while standing on a damp floor.
- The appliance must not be used outside.
- Do not place the appliance on hot surfaces or near naked flames.
Please keep the instructions in a safe place. Should the appliance be
passed on to another user the instructions must be handed over as well.
If the appliance is not used according to these instructions, liability ceases
for any potential damage.
GENERAL INFORMATION ON THE BREADMAKER
This breadmaker is a new kitchen utensil for the production of one of the
oldest foodstuff, bread. You can bake simply and safe without any
problems. Enrich your bread, as you like with whole grains or various other
ingredients.
With this breadmaker the manual kneading of dough, rising and constant
controlling of baking is unnecessary. The breadmaker enables you to
supply your family at all time with home-made fresh bread.

BAKING BREAD
Getting to know your bread maker controls
Menu selects
The breadmaker has a choice of 12 programs, which can be selected by
pressing the "select" button.
The following programs are offered:
1. BASIC
For preparation of white bread and mixed bread; this program is used the
most frequently. The breadmaker will knead the dough three times. After
the second kneading the breadmaker will beep. This beep indicates that
additional ingredients may now be added.
2. FRENCH
For preparation of white bread and mixed bread; The bread maker will
knead twice but has a longer rising time, and bakes longer so the bread
gets a thicker crust.
3. WHOLE-WHEAT BREAD
For preparation of whole wheat bread with sourdough and yeast; the
breadmaker will knead twice, the dough rises and bakes longer. We
recommend you to choose the dark crust colour to get a crunchy crust.
4. QUICK
For preparation of white bread and mixed bread; the breadmaker knead
the dough twice and beeps during the second kneading in order to add
additional ingredients. The period of dough rising is shortened, so the
bread requires less time, but the size will be smaller than normal.
5. SWEET
To bake a sweet bread. This program gives a crisper surface due to the
sugar gets "burned".
6. ULTRA FAST I
Knead, rise and bakes small bread
7. ULTRA FAST II
Knead, rise and bakes larger bread.
8. DOUGH
For preparation of different types of dough for shaping and baking
elsewhere; the pan is not heated and the degree of crust colour must not
be selected.
9. SANDWICH
For preparation of sandwich bread
10. JAM
Can be used for making jam and marmalade
11. CAKE
For preparation of sweet yeast pastry; the Breadmaker will knead the
dough twice, The program takes 2 hours and 50 minutes.
12. BAKE
Program for additional baking of all preparations.
Once the operation time has ended the breadmaker starts the keep warm
function for 1 hour beeping every 5 minutes, except when the program
dough is selected which is not heated.
Crust colour
Except for program no. 7(dough) each program offers 3 different degrees
of crust colour, which you can select by pressing the colour button.
- Crust Light
- Crust Medium
- Crust Dark
During the first kneading the motor will switch on and off, the dough hook
will turn by turn.
During the first rising will the thermostat switch on an off to keep a
temperature of 20 C°.
During the second kneading will the motor and thermostat switch on an off
to keep the temperature at 30 C°.
During the second rising will the thermostat switch on and off to keep the
temperature at 32 C°.
During the third rising will the thermostat switch on and off to keep the
temperature at 38 C°.
During the baking the thermostat will switch on an off to keep a minimum
temp. of 121 C°.
SETTING OF THE TIMER
All programmes can be started later, which is not recommeded for the
baking process for cakes and biscuits. If you use ingredients such as fresh
milk, fruit or onions, no pre-programming should be selected, the baking
process should be started directly.
- Select as stated above the desired setting with the MENU SELECTION
and CRUST keys.
- With both arrow TIMING keys you can pre-program a baking process
up to 13 hours. Push the arrow key upward or downward to prolong the
duration of the baking process shown on the display.
