Assembling the handle (Fig. A, D)
1. Insert the handle (9) into the intended holes of
the tank (15), as shown on figure D.
2. Insert the 4 allen screws (24) in the holes and
tighten by turning clockwise by using an allen
key, as shown on figure D.
Mounting the air filter (Fig. A, E)
1. Remove the transport lid and replace them with
the supplied air filter (13) before using the com-
pressor.
2. Mount the air filter (13) by screwing the air filter
(13) clockwise into the air inlet (12) as shown
on figure E.
Installing the compressor
The compressor should be installed in ventila-
ted and dry environment.
Make sure the compressor is placed on the
horizontal and stable ground.
Place the compressor on a flat surface or at a
maximum slope of 10°, in a well ventilated area,
protected against atmospheric factors and not
in explosive surroundings.
If the surface area is sloping and smooth, make
sure that the compressor will not move when in
operation.
For proper ventilation and effective cooling, it is
important that the compressor is positioned at
least 50 cm away from any wall or obstacle.
Make sure that the compressor is transported
in the right way, do not turn it upside down and
don’t lift it with hooks or ropes.
4. OPERATION
You must fully assemble the compressor
before using it for the first time.
Long supply cables, extensions, cable reels
etc cause a drop in voltage and can impede
motor start-up. Do not use cables longer
than 10m. Vonroc advises to use a longer
air hose instead.
It can be more difficult to start-up the motor
during conditions of temperatures below
5°C.
The head/cylinder/transmission pipe
assembly may reach high temperatures, so
take care when working close to these
parts and do not touch them to avoid burns.
Starting up (Fig. A)
1. Check whether the mains voltage corresponds
to that indicated on the electrical specification
plate.
2. Push the ON/OFF switch (2) into the position ‘O’
to switch the compressor off.
3. Put the plug in the plug socket.
4. Pull the ON/OFF switch (2) into the position ‘I’
to switch the compressor on.
5. The operation of the compressor is fully
automatic. The pressure switch (3) will stop
the compressor when the maximum value has
been reached and start it up when the pressure
drops below the minimum value. The pressure
switch (3) is set at the factory. Normally the
difference in pressure is approx. 2 Bar/29 psi
between the maximum and the minimum value.
The compressor will stop when it reaches 8
Bar (116 psi) (this is the maximum operating
pressure) and will start up automatically when
the pressure within the tank has dropped to 6
Bar (87 psi).
Connecting the air hose and tool (Fig. A)
1. Turn the pressure regulator (4) turning knob
anti-clockwise till pressure is fully released.
2. Insert the connector of the air hose (not inclu-
ded) into the quick coupler (5) on the compres-
sor. When pushing, the connector clicks into
place to secure the air hose.
3. Connect the air tool (not included) you want to
use to the quick coupler of the air hose.
4. Turn the pressure regulator (4) turning knob
clockwise, till the pressure gauge (6) shows the
pressure level you need.
5. Your air tool is now ready to use.
Disconnecting the air hose and tool (Fig. A)
When releasing the quick coupler, be sure
to hold the hose to protect yourself from
injury from the rebounding hose.
1. Turn the pressure regulator (4) turning knob
anti-clockwise till pressure is fully released.
2. Reduce the pressure by activating the air tool
(not included).
