Banden - slijtage-indicator
Een slijtage-indicator toont de status van de
profieldiepte van de band.

Slijtage-indicatoren.
Slijtage-indicatoren zijn smalle ophogingen
die dwars op het bandenprofiel staan. Op de
zijkant van de band staan de letters TWI
(Tread Wear Indicator). De slijtage-indicatoren
zijn duidelijk zichtbaar, wanneer een band
dusdanig versleten is dat slechts 1,6 mm van
het profiel over is. Vervang de banden dan zo
spoedig mogelijk. Let erop dat een band met
een gering profiel zeer weinig grip op het
wegdek heeft bij regen of sneeuw.
