Do not use any carbon-containing cleaning agents or petrol, alcohol or the like to
clean theproduct. Thesecould corrodethe surface of themeasuring instrument.
The fumes are furthermore a health hazard and are explosive. Moreover, you
should not use sharp-edged tools, screwdrivers or metal brushes or similar for
cleaning.
Forcleaning the device or the displayand the measuring lines, use aclean,fuzz-
free, antistatic slightly damp cloth.
Inserting/changing the batteries
Operation of the measuringdevice requiresa 9Vbattery (e.g. 1604A).You needto
insert a new, charged battery prior to initial operation or when the battery change
symbol appears on the display.
To insert/replace the battery, proceed as follows:
- Separate the connected measuring leads from the measuring circuit and the
measuring device. Switch off the measuring device.
- Loosenthe two screwson the rear of the batterycompartment and removethe
batterycompartment lid.
- Connect a new batterywith the battery clip in the DMMobserving the right polar-
ity.
- Now, close the cover carefully again.

ed against leaking can corrode and thus release chemicals
whichmay be detrimentaltoyour health ordestroy the battery

immediately.
Remove thebatteries ifthe device isnot usedfor longerperiods
of time to prevent leaking.
