Due to the high-sensitivity NCV sensor, the illuminating diode can
also light upfor static charging. This is normaland not a malfunction.
Always test theNCV functionfirst onaknown voltgesource inorder
to preventfaulty detections.Faulty detection results ina risk of an
electric shock.
Automatic power OFF function
The measuring deviceturns off automatically after15 minutes if nokey or the rotary
switch is operated. This function saves battery power and extends the service life.
In order to switchthe measuringdevice backon afterautomatic deactivation,oper-
ate the rotary switch.
Min/max function
With themin/max functionthe smallest(min) orthe biggest(max) measurementval-
ue can beautomatically stored or shownon the display. Thismeans that any occur-
ring peaks or drops can be securely detected.
To activate this function, select with the MIN/MAX key (14) whether the biggest
(MAX) measurementvalue or thesmallest (MIN)measurement value shouldbe dis-
played.
In order to return tothe normal measurement module,press the MIN/MAXkey (14)
for approx. 2 seconds.
Background illumination
Themeasuring device is equippedwith a background illuminationfor the display -
this makes it easier to read in dark rooms. To activate background illumination,
press HOLDkeyforapprox.2secondswhile themeasuringdeviceisswitchedon.
In orderto notuse thebattery unnecessarily, the background illumination switches
off after approx. 10 seconds.
