Anschluss von LEDs
Die Funktionsausgänge des Lokdecoders schal-
ten gegen Decodermasse. Daher müssen am
AusgangderFunktionsausgängedieKathoden(-)
der LEDs ange schlossen werden.
Beachten Sie:
WennSieLEDseinsetzen,müssenSiedie-
seimmerübereinenVorwiderstandbetrei-
ben!DieVorwiderständesindjenachStrom
und Bauform der Leuchtdioden unterschied-
lich. Ermitteln Sie die richtigen Werte oder
erfragen Sie sie beim Kauf.
SiekönnenmehrereLEDsaneinenAusgangpar-
allelanschließen.DabeibenötigtjedeDiodeeinen
eigenenVorwiderstand.WennSiemehrereLEDs
aneinenAusganginReiheanschließen,reichtein
Vorwiderstandaus.
Befestigung des Lokdecoders
Decoder mit Schnittstellenstecker sind durch den
Stecker bereits hinreichend befestigt.
Nach Fertigstellung aller Anschlüsse sollten Sie
denLokdecoder5242befestigen.Dieskannz.B.
mit doppelseitigem Klebeband erfolgen.
5. Programmierung
BevorSiemitdemProgrammierendesLokdeco-
dersbeginnen,mussderMotorandenDecoder
angeschlossensein,dasonstkeineRückmeldung
zur(DCC-)Zentraleerfolgenkann.
WennSiedenDecodermiteinerMotorola-Zentra-
leprogrammierenwollen,solltenSieandieAus-
gängeAUX1undAUX2Beleuchtungenanschlie-
ßen,dadieLokdenWechselindenProgrammier-
modusunddieÜbernahmederEingabendurch
das Blinken der Beleuchtung an diesen Ausgän-
gen quittiert.
ImDCC-FormatkönnenRegisteroderKongu-
rationsvariablen(CVs)programmiertwerden.Die
Hauptgleisprogrammierungistebenfallsmöglich.
ImMotorola-FormatwerdendieEinstellungenin
Registerprogrammiert.
Programmierung mit DCC-Zentralen
VonderZentraleauskönnenSiedieKongurati-
onsvariablen(CVs)desDecodersprogrammieren.
BeachtenSiedazudenbetreffendenAbschnittin
derBedienungsanleitungIhrerZentrale,inderdie
byteweiseProgrammierungderCV-Variablenbe-
schriebenist.MitZentralen,dielediglichdieRe-
gister-Programmierungermöglichen,könnenSie
nurdieVariablenCV#1,CV#2,CV#3,CV#4und
CV#29(=Register1bis5)programmieren.

5. Programming

Shouldyouintendtoprogramthedecoderwitha
Motorolacentralunityoushouldalwaysconnect
thelightingtotheoutputsAUX1andAUX2.The
locomotiveindicatesthechange-overtothepro-
grammingmodeandthetaking-overofsettingsby
ashingofthelightingconnectedtotheseoutputs.
InDCCformatitispossibletoprogramregisteror
congurationvariables(CVs),maintrackprogram-
mingcanbeusedaswell.InMotorolaformatthe
settingsaresavedinregisters.
