5. Compatibilidad con alternadores

El sistema de detección de motor en marcha se basa en la
tensión de la batería de arranque El cargador no siempre puede
medir con exactitud la tensión de la batería de arranque debido a
la caída de tensión a lo largo del cable de entrada. La caída de
tensión está determinada por variables como la corriente, la
longitud del cable y el calibre del mismo. La «secuencia de
detección de motor en marcha» (véase la figura 7) realizará un
test periódico para determinar la tensión exacta de la batería de
arranque durante la carga. El resultado de dicho test determina si
el motor está en marcha y se puede activar la carga.
Esta función sólo funciona en modo cargador y cuando la
«anulación del detector del motor» no está activada. En modo
convertidor el «bloqueo de la tensión de entrada» determina
cuándo se activa la salida.
