5.1 La fórmula Peukert: capacidad de la batería y ritmo de descarga
El valor que puede ajustarse en la fórmula Peukert es el exponente n:
véase la fórmula siguiente.
En el BMV, el exponente Peukert puede ajustarse desde 1,00 a 1,50.
Cuanto más alto sea el exponente de Peukert, más rápidamente se
"contraerá" la capacidad efectiva de la batería, con un ritmo de descarga
cada vez mayor. La batería ideal (teóricamente) tiene un exponente de
Peukert de 1,00 y una capacidad fija, sin importar la magnitud de la
descarga de corriente. El ajuste por defecto del exponente Peukert es
1,25. Este es un valor medio aceptable para la mayoría de las baterías
de plomo-ácido.
