De BMV kan indien nodig ook handmatig worden gesynchroniseerd
(d.w.z. op ‘accu volledig opgeladen’ worden gezet). Dit kan worden
bereikt in de normale bedrijfsmodus door de knoppen + en – tegelijkertijd
3 seconden lang ingedrukt te houden, of in de instelmodus door de optie
SYNC (zie paragraaf 4.2.1, instelling nr. 10).
Standaard is de BMV geconfigureerd om in een gesynchroniseerde
status op te starten en wordt een laadstatus van 100% aangeduid. Dit
gedrag kan worden gewijzigd: zie paragraaf 4.2.1, instelling 70.
Als de BMV niet automatisch wordt gesynchroniseerd, moeten de
laadspanning, de staartstroom en/of de oplaadtijd eventueel worden
aangepast. Als de voeding van de BMV is onderbroken, moet de
accumonitor opnieuw worden gesynchroniseerd om juist te kunnen
werken.
Na de eerste synchronisatie (automatisch of handmatig), zal de BMV het
aantal automatische synchronisaties bijhouden: zie sectie 4.3.

2.3 Vaak voorkomende problemen
Geen tekenen van leven op de display
De BMV is waarschijnlijk niet goed aangesloten. De UTP-kabel moet aan
beide uiteinden goed worden ingestoken, de shunt moet worden
aangesloten op de minpool van de accu en de positieve voedingskabel
moet met geïnstalleerde zekering worden aangesloten op de pluspool
van de accu.
De temperatuursensor (indien van toepassing) moet worden aangesloten
op de pluspool van de accu bank (één van de twee draden van de sensor
fungeert als voedingsdraad).
De laadstroom en ontlaadstroom zijn omgekeerd
De laadstroom moet worden weergegeven met een positieve waarde.
Bijvoorbeeld: 1.45A.
De ontlaadstroom moet worden weergegeven met een negatieve waarde.
Bijvoorbeeld: -1.45A.
Als de laadstroom en de ontlaadstroom omgekeerd zijn, moeten de
voedingskabels op de shunt worden omgewisseld: zie de beknopte
installatiehandleiding.
