Press (or press and hold) the assigned programmable key to enable the Voice Re-
cording Mode. When an incoming signal is received (the squelch opens and audio
passes), the incoming audio will be recorded. The “ ” icon will ash during au-
dio recording, and the “ ” icon will remain on once recording is complete.

message.
Press (or press and hold) the assigned programmable key again to stop the play-

Press (or press and hold) the assigned programmable key to disable the Transmit
Saver, if you are operating in a location where high power is almost always need-
ed.
The Transmit Saver reduces the transmit power when a very strong signal from an
apparently nearby station is being received.
lock
Press (or press and hold) the assigned programmable key to lock the various
aspects of the front panel’s keys. The precise lockout conguration must be pro-
grammed by your Vertex Standard dealer.
