AUDIO

ON/OFF

• Press POWER to switch on or off the set.

VOLUME

• Turn the volume knob to adjust the volume.

Please make sure you can still hear the traffic

(horns, sirens........)

MUTE (Silence)

Press MUTE to mute or cancel the mute (silence).

Note : The silence period may be interrupted by

traffic announcement (if TA/NEWS is switched on).

SOUND

Whether you listen to Jazz, Vocal, Pop, Classic

or Rock music, the SOUND button is the perfect

setting for your choice.

• Press SOUND to select one of the factory pre-

defined sound styles:

– BASS-TREB : Your own settings of bass and

treble.

– JAZZ: Jazz music

– VOCAL : Speech

– POP : Pop music

– CLASSIC : Classical music

– ROCK : Rock music

AUDIO SETTING

• Press SELECT to select the desired audio

mode:

– BASS (low notes)

– TREBLE (high notes)

– BALANCE (left-right)

– FADER (rear-front)

– LOUD (OFF, LOW, MID, HIGH)

• Turn the volume knob to adjust the selected

audio mode.

After 5 seconds the display goes back to the

last mode of operation.

SOURCE

• Press SOURCE to select the desired source :

- TUNER

- TAPE

RADIO

WAVEBAND

• Press BAND to select the desired band :

Note :

You can suppress MW (AM) or LW bands if not

required. See 'SETUP', option 'MW (AM)' and 'LW'.

You can suppress additional FM or MW (AM)

bands if not required. See 'SETUP', option 'FM'

and 'MW(AM)'.

AUTOMATIC SEARCH

Use search tuning to automatically search for a

station.

• Press to tune to a station of a lower frequency

or to a higher frequency.

– To search for another station, press the key

again.

Search sensitivity (only FM)

• You can adjust the search sensitivity. See

'SETUP', option 'SRCH'.

Frequency scan

Frequency scan allows you to listen to each

located station on the current band for about 10

seconds

• Press SCAN for more than 2 seconds to

activate/deactivate Frequency scan.

Manual tuning (if you know the frequency of

the required station)

• To switch to manual tuning :

See 'SETUP', option 'TUN'; set value to 'MAN'.

The radio remains in manual tuning mode until

you change this setting back to 'AUTO'.

• Press to tune to a station of a lower frequency

or to a higher frequency.

PRESELECTED STATIONS

Manually storing stations in a preset

Six stations per band can be stored and recalled

using the preset keys (1 to 6)

• Tune in to the desired station.

• Press the desired preset key (1 to 6) for more

than 2 seconds to store the current tuned

station.

When storing an FM station, the relevant

RDS information and AF mode (on/off) are

also stored on the preset.

Recalling a preset

• Press the desired preset key (1 to 6) to recall

the stored station.

Automatically storing stations (AUTO-

STORE)

You can automatically store 6 strongest FM

stations on the FM AST band or 6 strongest

MW(AM) stations on the MW(AM) AST band.

When you use Auto Store, the new stations replace

any stations previously stored in the FM AST

band or the MW(AM) AST band.

• Press AST to activate autostore.

– The set gives a beep and then mutes.

– When it has finished, you hear a beep followed

by the station stored on preset 1.

– Sometimes it may not be possible to find 6

stations.
