SPEEDY POOL – SET-UP INSTRUCTIONS
1.
SITE SELECTION
It is absolutely essential to select a suitable site for your pool BEFORE attempting to fill with
any water. In order to ensure ease of set-up and enjoy hassle-free use of your new Speedy pool,
please select a set-up site which strictly conforms to the following guidelines:
A. Make sure that the selected area is firm, flat(no bumps or mounds of earth) and extremely
level before the beginning. WARNING: Pools installed in inadequately level surfaces are
subject to leaking, forming distortion, or collapse, which can result in property damage or
serious injury for those in or around the pool area! NEVER use sand or any other leveling
agent underneath the pool!
B. Clear the ground surface of any pebbles, rocks, sticks, debris or anything with a sharp edge,
prior to laying out the pool. These varieties can damage your pool material.
C. Do not select an area that is directly under overhead electrical lines, trees or within 15 feet of
a house, building, etc. Additionally, check that no underground cables, telephone lines, gas
lines, etc. run beneath the area you have selected.
D. If a ground cloth is provided with your pool, it is highly recommended. The ground cloth will
help protect the pool liner from damage due to weed growth, sharp objects, and debris.
CAUTION: Please choose your set-up area carefully, as lawn and other desirable vegetation
underneath the ground cloth will die. Furthermore, try to avoid setting the ground cloth in areas
prone to aggressive plant and weed species, as these varieties may grow up through the
ground cloth and pool liner.
